Zona M. (Morris) McKay

Funeral services for Zona M. McKay, 89, of Mangham, LA were held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Mangham Baptist Church, Mangham, LA with Bro. Rick Aultman officiating. Interment followed in the Gwin Cemetery, Mangham, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Zona was born March 5, 1932 in Wink, TX and passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 in Mangham, LA.

Mrs. McKay was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and a retired school teacher. A long time Sunday School Teacher of 40 years at Mangham Baptist Church and member and past president of Delta Kappa Gama. She was a 30-year member of the Mangham town Council and Current acting Mayor of Mangham. She was involved in many civic duties and maintained a status on numerous boards.

Mrs. Zona is preceded in death by her husband, Roy McKay; and her parents, George and Willa Morris.

Survivors include her children, Jan McKay of Mangham and George McKay and wife, Martha of Mangham; grandchildren, Anna Meyers of Mangham and Emily Lambert and husband, Robert of Denham, Springs, LA; great grandchildren, Hayden Armstrong, Ava Brakefield, Ellie Lambert, and Maggie Larkin Lambert; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special extended family of Barbara and Billy Boies.

Pallbearers were Jacob Gandy, Joshua Boies, Hayden Armstrong, Gary Gilley, Dan Brunson, and Perry Fleming.
