Funeral services for Woody S. Netherland, 80, of Rayville, LA will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Rayville First Assembly of God, Rayville, LA with Pastor Mike Jackson officiating. Interment will be in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Woody was born February 6, 1943 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 in Rayville, LA.

Woody was a veteran with the United States Army. He was preceded parents, Cecil Netherland and Susie Bennight; 2-brothers and 2-sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Helen Netherland; children, Damon Netherland, Jason Netherland and wife, Martha, Donna Netherland and fiancé, Ashley Phillips; 10-grandchildren; brother, William Platt; sisters, Carlene Mathis and Elizabeth Decker and husband, Warren, and Faye Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael O’Neal, Danny Guimbellot, Ashley Phillips, Wesley Carrington, Dewayne Del Rio, and Patrick Guimbellot.

Visitation is 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Rayville Assembly of God Church, Rayville, LA.
