Wayne Parker

Wayne Parker was born March 12, 1940 in Utility, LA and passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 in Rayville, LA. A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA with Bro. Johnny Smith officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Bro. Wayne was the pastor at Zebedee Baptist Church for the last 10 Years. Everyone knew him by the Jesus Fish he would pass out. He was a veteran with United States Navy serving during the Cuba Crisis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldred Parker and Mammie Parker; and brother, Robert Earl Parker.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty Parker of Start, LA; sister, Patricia Marshall and husband, George; brother, Ray Parker and wife, Liz of West Monroe, LA; sister-in-law, Julie Parker of Houston, TX; 9-nieces and nephews; 25-great nieces and nephews; 16-great-great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Wayland Colvin and wife, Linda.
