Funeral services for Wayne Allen, 81, of Shreveport, LA formerly of Pioneer, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Richland United Pentecostal Church, Holly Ridge, LA with Bro. Doug McManus, Bro. Terry Jordon, Sister Lee Ann Alexander, and Bro. Joel Alexander officiating. Interment was in the Unity Cemetery, Pioneer, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Bro. Wayne was born January 10, 1942 in Terry, LA and passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness.

Bro. Wayne was in the ministry for over 50 years. He was at the Richland United Pentecostal Church at Holly Ridge, LA for over 30 years and he helped build the first United Pentecostal Church in Delhi, LA, it was started in 1971. Bro. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Allen; and his wife, Darlene McGaha Allen.

Survivors include his son, Timothy Allen and wife, Labreska of Keithville, LA; grandchildren, Caleb Allen and wife, Kayla of Abita Springs, LA and Amber Allen of Keithville, LA; great grandchildren, Dayton Allen and Niomi Allen; sister, Judy Alexander and husband, Mark; and brothers, William Mack Allen of Shreveport, LA and Jerry Dale Allen and wife, Connie of Oak Grove, LA.

Pallbearers were Rodney Barton, Terry McGaha, Ken Caston, Jacob Whitstine, Josh Whitstine, and Joel Alexander. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Whitstine and Deryl Caston.
