Funeral services for Walter “Randy” Randolph Taylor, III, 67, of Rayville, LA were held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Rayville United Methodist Church, Rayville, LA with Bro. Mike Palermo and Bro. Mike Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the New Salem Cemetery, Girard, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Randy was born October 27, 1954 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Monroe, LA.

Randy’s passion was flying - being in the air for nearly fifty years of his life. He’d fly with anyone who asked, showing off his skills and smiling as they felt the enjoyment and thrill, he spent his life enjoying. Countless hours were spent, even after retirement, flying around the country and engaging in hours of talk with his fellow pilots. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Tater Bug” and Velma Taylor; and his sister, Donna Lynn Taylor.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Sherri “Sam” Annette Morgan Taylor; son, Walter Randolph Taylor, IV and Danielle Kazemi; grandchildren, Kelly Ann Ambrose, Tiernan Colleen Ambrose, AbiGayle Grace Russell, James Mirza Kazemi, and William Mirza Kazemi; great grandchildren, Samuel Dean Ambrose and Paisyn Elizabeth Moon Ambrose; and his siblings, Barbara Ann Taylor and Michael Joseph Taylor.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Cravens, Matthew Morgan, Morgan Nappier, Jakoda Southern, Brian Redl, and Nathan Stanley. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Morgan, Paul Bairnsfather, John White, and Charlie Thomason.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA for everything they did for Randy.
