Thomas Wade Darnell, Jr.

Thomas Wade Darnell, Jr., 69, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his home in Monroe, Louisiana. Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Brown Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, Louisiana. Visitation preceded at 1 p.m.

Wade was born February 20, 1955, in Rayville to Thomas Wade, and Frances Goforth Darnell. He was a Tulane graduate and there began his love of the Crescent City. Wade was a hard-working man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as well as traveling in all directions. He will be missed by each one who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his little sister, Michele Darnell.

Survivors include his wife Liza Kidd, his siblings and spouses Sherry Hutto, Kenny Darnell (Sherry) and Keith Darnell (Darlene), also, numerous beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and his cat Ink Spot. He had a big heart, big faith, tolerance and love for his fellow people and each of his pets. He loved the 12 steps! He never met a stranger. Wade darling, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
