Funeral services Thaddous “Thad” Otto Shiers, Jr., 80, of Archibald, LA were held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Interment was in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr. Thad was born May 13, 1942 in Vicksburg, MS and passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 in Archibald, LA.  He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Thad was preceded in death by his parents, Inez and Thad Shiers, Sr. and sister, Hazel Jackson.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sylvia Ann Shiers; children, Michael Shiers and wife, Tracy and Mark Shiers and wife, Melinda Hendrix Shiers; grandson, Eli Shiers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Pallbearers were Skip Jackson, Keith Lewis, Colby Spencer, Bob Archibald, Terry Gwin, and Mike Jordan.
