Sybil Faye (Burgess) Brown

Sybil Faye Brown, 79, of Archibald, LA was born August 1, 1944 and passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 in Winnsboro, LA. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Sybil was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Baskin, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Ervin Gene Brown; son, Edward “Scooter” Brown; mother, Hazel Burgess; and brother, Wilfred Earl Burgess, Sr.

Survivors include her daughter, Penny Johns and husband, Darren; grandchildren, Hunter Johns and wife, Kirsten and Gena Johns; great grandchildren, Larkin Johns and Clayton Johns; siblings, Mary Watson and husband, Fred, Marie Clark, and Tommy Burgess and wife, Dolly; and numerous nieces and nephew.

Visitation was from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA.
