Funeral services for Sonya L. Stansell, 51, of Monroe, LA were held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 30, 2023 at First United Pentecostal Church Rayville, Rayville, LA with Bro. Stacy Thomas and Bro. Anthony Smithey officiating. Interment was in the Greer Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Sonya was born September 3, 1971 in West Monroe, LA. and passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 in Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Sonya was preceded in death by her grandparents, J. B. and Josephine Stansell; Woodney and Eula Mae Rose. Sonya would always say ” I Love You To The Heaven’s And Back”

Survivors include her children, Joshua Ray Bancroft and wife, Shawna of Grayson, LA and Brooke Danielle Williams and husband, Steven of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Leah Blair “Le Le” Bancroft; Emerie Autumn “M & M” Bancroft; Kyler Bryson “Bubba” Ford; Layknn Rose “Lay Lay” Bancroft; father, Kenny Stansell; mother, Elaine Hayes; siblings, Alicia Hayes and Kelly Hayes; stepbrother, Matthew Crawford; 5 -nephews and special niece, Alana; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers were Hank Lunsford, Cole Williams, Kirby Phillips, Brad Phillips, Shane Cobb, and Matthew Crawford.

Honorary pallbearer was Steve Williams.
