Sheron Llynn Wroten, 81, passed away peacefully from his earthly home on September 24, 2024, in Rayville, Louisiana. He was born on January 2, 1943, in Crowville, Louisiana, to Essie McCarty Wroten and Wendell Ainsworth Wroten.

Sheron was a man of Christ who faithfully lived his life with compassion, kindness, and a willingness to always lend a listening ear. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. An avid and respected outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, he found joy in nature, sharing countless adventures with family and friends that deepened their bonds and instilled a love for the great outdoors in those around him.

Sheron is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 46 years, Diane C. Wroten; his son and daughter-in-law, Wyndell and Lasonda Wroten; and his daughter and son-in-law, Shanna and Todd Marlowe. He was a proud and loving "Pappaw" to his grandchildren: Noah Wroten, Mary Faith McCormick, Jack McCormick, and Joshua McCormick.

Also left to cherish his memory are his sister, Marilyn Thomas; his sisters-in-law, Mary Faye Reynolds, Beth Milby, and Dianne Wroten; his brother-in-law Stuart King and wife Dottie; his “granddaughter” niece, Lara King and niece, Kelly Wroten; nephews, Kyle King, and Joe Reynolds; cousin, Joel Eldridge, and his lifelong best friend, Doyle Hammons.

Sheron was preceded in death by his first wife, Tina King Wroten; his parents, Essie McCarty Wroten and Wendell Ainsworth Wroten; his son, Steve Colvin; and his brothers, Mike Wroten and Bobby Wroten.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Northeast Louisiana Ambulance Service for their care and support. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.

Sheron touched the lives of many with his unwavering faith, love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him.
