Funeral services for Sarah Amanda Almond, 82, of Richmond, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, in Oak Grove, LA with her son, Randy Almond officiating. Interment will follow to Kilbourne Cemetery, in Kilbourne, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.

Mrs. Sarah was born on March 10, 1943, in Kilbourne, LA and passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Vicksburg, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mattie Cook, brothers, Sonny Cook and Minnie, and Billy Cook and Nancy.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Joe Almond of Richmond, LA; son, Randy Almond (Liz) of Farmerville, LA; 4-grandchildren, Nike Barber (Chris), Michael Almond (Amber), Josh Meredith (Lacy), Sarah Beth Ferguson (Kane); great grandchildren, Gillian Ebarb, Jake Childress, Lana Almond, Gemma Almond, Amelia Ferguson and Conner Ferguson; siblings, Mary Hires (Randy), and Johnny Cook (Dinky); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Randy Almond, Dale Jones, Chris Crabtree, Chris Barber, Michael Almond, and Tommy Cook.

Honorary pallbearers are Dan Jackson, Lane Smith, Scott Mullinex, and Carl Vedis.

Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.
