Funeral services for Sandra “Sandy” Slade Chapman, 79, of Rayville, LA were held at 3:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025 at Mangham Methodist Church, Mangham, LA with Bro. William Waller and Bro. Jimmy Wilkins officiating. Interment was in the Little Creek Cemetery, Archibald, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Sandy was born January 22, 1946 in Winnsboro, LA and passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 in Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Sandy was a member of Mangham Methodist Church and was employed for 26 years at the Mangham Elementary School at a Teacher’s assistant. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bobby “Joe” Chapman; parents, Jessie and Rosa Slade; sister, Bobbye Carter; and brothers, Jessie “Chuck” Slade Jr. and Alfred “Pete” Slade.

Survivors include her daughter, Shonda Bazer and husband, Robert; and grandchildren, Jessie Bazer Cortez and husband, Jacob and Chapman Bazer and wife, Taylor Allen Bazer.

Pallbearers were Billy Joe White, Toby Joe White, Joey Williams, Tommy Pailette, Joel Williams, Don Smith, and Donald Jambois.

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Mullins, Robert Fobbs, Norman Bennett, and Tim Fife.
