Graveside services for Sammie Lee Greer, 86, of Rayville, LA were held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Greer Cemetery, Rayville, LA with Bro. Richard Robinson officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Sammie was born July 20, 1938 in Rayville, LA and passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 in Alexandria, LA.

Sammie was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Rayville, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Frances Greer; sisters, Mickey Robinson, Mary Seffens, and Doris Leftwitch; daughter-in-law, Sharon Kay Greer; and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Greer.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Greer of West Monroe, LA; children, Randall Greer and wife, Amy of Start, LA and Gerald Greer of Rayville, LA; grandchild, Leanna Greer of Rayville, LA; great grandchildren, John Ross Raney, Ford Allen Raney, and Hallie Elizabeth Raney; and a host of nieces and nephews.
