Funeral services for Ruby Nell Smith, 81, of Rayville, LA were held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Bro. Jason Williams officiating. Interment was in the Stevenson Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Ruby was born September 19, 1942 in Monroe, LA and passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 in Denham Springs, LA. She is preceded by her husband, Bobby Wayne Smith; son, Gregory Foster Smith; parents, T-Buck and Cloteel Gwin; and siblings, Mae Kimball, Emma Simmons, Betty Roberts, Arthur Gwin, W.M. Gwin, Prior Lee Gwin, Gillis Gwin, Geneva Edwards, and Sue Graham.

Survivors include her children, Doyle R. Roberts, Jr. and wife, Tamra of Nocona, TX, Laura A. Mollere of Denham Springs, LA, and Lisa Smith, Destrehan, LA; 11-grandchildren and 17-great grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Callegan, Gail Mitchell, Troy Gwin, and Sammy Gwin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jerry Granger, Ronald Russo, Bob Roberts, Charles Greer, Tony Miller, and Michael Gwin.
