Roy Devon Williamson

Funeral services for Roy Devon Williamson, 76, of Start, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Start Baptist Church, Start, LA with Bro. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment followed in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mr.. Roy was born June 18, 1943 and passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 in Monroe, LA. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Rayville Glass for over 23 years. Mr. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Lucy Williamson; brother, Sydney Williamson and his sister, Lucille Burkett.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joy Williamson; daughter, Becky Simonsen and husband, Jay; grandchildren, Skyler and fiancée, Caitlyn, Noah and wife, MacKenzie, and Annabelle; brother, Haywood Williamson and wife, Bobbie; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Pallbearers were Noah Arnold, Skyler Arnold, Ryan Cockerham, Daniel Martinez, Floyd McCormick, and Jay Simonsen.
