Roy "Dale" Prine

Funeral service for Roy “Dale” Prine, 61, of Forest, LA were held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Providence Church in Lake Providence, LA with Bro. Don Boyett officiating. Interment followed to Herringville Cemetery, in Monticello, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove, LA.

Mr. Dale was born on July 30, 1962 in Ducktown, TN and passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 in Forest, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mildred Prine; father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Alberez; mother-in-law, Loraine Alberez; sister-in-law, Peggy Prine; and nephew, Nick Brewer.

He was a member of Providence Church in Lake Providence. He was part of the Briar Field State Championship Football team in 1978. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his children play sports, and teaching his granddaughters how to play sports.   

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bobbie Alberez Prine of Forest, LA; children, Leah Prine of Forest, LA; Katie Prine Taylor and husband, Jonathan of Lake Providence, LA; and Roy “Chance” Prine of Forest, LA; 3-granddaughters, Peyton Taylor, Mercy Taylor, and Victory Taylor; brother, Randy Prine of Oak Grove, LA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rebecca Paris and husband, Chuck, Angela Brewer and husband, David, Regena McIntire and husband, Roy, and Robert Alberez and wife, Jana; and numerous nieces nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers were Colt Oswalt, Casey Paris, Christian Paris, Hunter Prine, Hunter Alberez, and James Waldron.
