Roger was born on August 13, 1944 in Fort Wayne, IN. and passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Oak Grove, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orvel and Merle West.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Janice West of Oak Grove; children, Kevin West of Maurepas, LA, Howard Brackin and wife, Joann of Darnell, Trey Brackin of Monroe, and Micheal Brackin and wife, Jennifer of Calhoun; grandchildren, Alyssa West, Brooke West, Kaylee Warren and husband, Ty, Garrett Brackin, Lyndsi Brackin, Heather Brackin, Tyler Brackin,Audrey Brackin and Sara Brackin; numerous nieces and nephews.
