Rodney Lee Williamson

Rodney Lee Williamson, age 54, passed away on August 10, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on October 11, 1968, in West Monroe, Louisiana to the late Junior Lee and Nancy Baugh Williamson.

Rodney was a man of many passions and accomplishments. He proudly held a degree in machine shop graduated with honors from Louisiana Votech and treasured the joy of having two beautiful daughters, Amanda (Robert) Colvin and Shelbi Williamson. He adored his four grandchildren, Kiley, Alyssa, Daylan, and Christian, who brought immense happiness to his life. Rodney's brother, Robert Williamson, sister-in-law Cindy Gilbert, and dear friends/cousins Jim Sims, Billie Jean Sims, and Stephen Baugh were cherished parts of his life.

Rodney's adventurous spirit led him to a career as a long-haul trucker, allowing him to explore the vast landscapes of the United States. He found solace in survivalist pursuits, fishing, camping, and the company of his loyal dog, Remi, and grand-dog, Kyra. In his leisure time, Rodney enjoyed listening to music, reading, watching sci-fi movies and shows, and pursuing his fascination with technology and science.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior Lee and Nancy Baugh Williamson. 

Rodney's legacy lives on through his daughters, grandchildren, family, friends, and former wives, Lori Garsee and Vicki Swann, who supported him and their girls till the very end.

Rodney Lee Williamson's daring spirit, love for family, and insatiable curiosity will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He embraced life on the edge, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and unquenchable enthusiasm for the wonders of the world.

There will not be a memorial service. He requested to be cremated and taken to Scottland in which his daughters will honor.
