Pete Crawford was born in Archibald, LA, to Henry and Bea Weston Crawford on September 7, 1940, and passed August 10, 2025, in Stillwater, OK, at the age of 84.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Karen Harp Crawford, his parents, his wife’s parents and several members from the Crawford and Harp families.
Pete grew up in Rayville, LA and went to Dallas, TX at an early age, meeting co-workers that became lifelong friends. Pete went to work at the Dallas Market Center in the late 60’s that gave him many interesting experiences, that made some great stories. He met celebrities in the entertainment industry, sports figures, news people local and national, many government officials, secret service agents and several United States presidents. He retired from the Market Center after 35 years and moved to Pawnee, OK, making new friends. He and Karen loved their life in Pawnee.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kay Crawford Campbell (Keith) of Frankston, TX, Holly Crawford Evans (Beaver) of Pawnee, OK, his son Mike Crawford (Angie) of Frankston, TX, grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandson, sisters, Gay Ramsey and Tiny Revis, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also in the Harp family: sister-in-law, brother-in-law and their families.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife and other family members at the Lone Cherry Cemetery, Mangham, LA.
The Crawford family wants to thank the Southern Oaks Care Center of Pawnee and the doctors for the care and the friends that visited Pete.
