Funeral services for Patsy Dixon, 83, of Minden, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA with Bro. Butch Goodman officiating. Interment will follow to Lake Providence Cemetery, in Lake Providence, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.

Patsy was born on February11, 1943, in Transylvania, LA and passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Minden, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Ola Mae Rushing; siblings, Hubert Rushing, Robert Rushing, Melvin Rushing, John Rushing, Clifton Rushing, Lucille Rushing DuConge, and Mamie L. Rushing Morgan.

Survivors include her son, Richard Wesley Whittington (Julie) of Minden, LA; granddaughters, Ashley Day (Morgan) of Tallahassee, FL, Katie Christianson (Corey) of Monroe, LA; great grandchildren, Addie Day, Abagail Day, Austin Day, Ana Day, Audrey Day, Cannon Christianson, and Weslyn Christianson; brother, James Edward Rushing (Charlotte); sister, Katherine Rushing Michaelson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Brandon Copeland, Don Whittington, Cliff Rushing, David Rushing, James Melvin Rushing, Rufus Yates, Jimmy Rae Rushing and Michael Rushing.

Honorary pallbearers are Corey Christianson and Morgan Day.

Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.
