A graveside memorial service for Patricia Ann Fuller Landrum were held Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 1:30 P.M. at Start Cemetery, Start, Louisiana under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, Louisiana. Patricia Ann Fuller Landrum, age 85, passed away at home on October 20, 2024, with her family by her side, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 29, 1939, in Start, Louisiana and was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Pat was a standout basketball player at Start High School and graduated later from Northeast Louisiana University and then with a Masters degree in Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Pat spent her career as an educator, first as a teacher and then as a Special Projects reading Supervisor for St. Mary Parish. Pat loved reading and the power of transformation through reading. She believed in public education for all and was an education advocate, tutoring and mentoring children within the local community.

She loved to cook and her family often feasted on her savory dishes modeled after her family’s recipes and traditions. Pat loved Louisiana. Although born and raised in north Louisiana she adopted south Louisiana as her home and she adapted many of her recipes to include the spices of Cajun country. She could always be counted on to cook and share a wonderful meal.

She pursued a life-long love of antiques and artistic design and cherished supporting and collecting Louisiana artists. She treasured her paintings, sculptures and other works of art that she collected through the years. She passed along her love of art to her children and left them a trove of treasures to love and remember her by.

Pat loved gardening and enjoyed decorating her home. It was a source of pride and joy to her and she loved entertaining friends and family. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed creating beautiful curtains, linens, pillows and clothes.

She never met a stranger and enjoyed her many friendships with co-workers, neighbors, artists, and other interesting people she often met. She cherished her friends and loved spending time with them, and each of them was special to her.

Pat loved and supported her family. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a storyteller and delighted in telling stories to all, and listening to their stories, music and passions. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and made a point of always being present for them.

Pat is survived by her sister Janice and her family, her three children Eddie (Theresa), Kim(Aaron), and Kris (Jackie) and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Archie and Grace Fuller.
