Maxine Surles Herring, 91, of Monroe, LA was born November 29, 1929 in Waverly, LA and passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, Floyd Herring, Jr.; parents, Howard and Ruth Surles; brothers, Howard Earl Surles and Jimmy Wayne Surles; and sister, Velma Clark.

Survivors include her children, Linda Bucker of West Monroe, LA, Barbara D. Herring of Maryland, Dianne Williams of Start, LA, and Steven Eric Herring of Waxahachie, TX; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
