Funeral services for Mary R. Watson, 60, of Holly Ridge, LA were held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Bro. Jerry Salisbury officiating. Interment was in the Oak Ridge Baptist Cemetery, Oak Ridge, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mary was born October 1, 1964 and passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in Holly Ridge, LA.

Mary was preceded in death by her grandson, Hunter Watson; parents, Freddie and Betty McLeod; and siblings, Donna Coker, Robert McLeod, and Debbie Jo Wiley.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Joseph D. Watson, Sr. of Holly Ridge, LA; children, Joseph D. Watson, Jr. of Holly Ridge, LA, Jessica LeAnn Watson Smith and husband, Walter “Brad” of Oak Grove, LA, and Jason Adam Watson of Holly Ridge, LA; grandchildren, Stormy L. Watson, Joseph D. Watson, III, Autumn L. Watson, Brayden Watson, Drake Watson, Brody B. Smith, and Reed A. Smith; siblings, Shelia Counts, Freddie A. McLeod and wife, Isabell, Butch McLeod and wife, Diane, Jerry McLeod and wife, Robin, John McLeod and wife, Stacie, Jeff McLeod, and Kevin McLeod and wife, Rebecca; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jason Watson, Joseph D. Watson, III, John McLeod, Jerry McLeod, Jeff McLeod, and Freddie McLeod.
