Funeral services for Margarette Lucille Hales, 92, of Archibald, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Archibald Church of Christ, Archibald, LA with Bro. Karl Huff and Bro. Travis Arrant officiating. Interment followed in the Gwin Cemetery, Mangham, LA.

Mrs. Margarette was born January 8, 1927 and passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 in Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Margarette was a member of the Archibald Church of Christ, Archibald, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, X.V. Hales; daughters, Joyce Hales Spillers and Betty Hales; grandchildren, Garland Hales and Tammy Morris; and daughter-in-law, Candace Hales.

Survivors include her children, James Hales and wife, Ruth of Archibald, L.C. Hales and wife, Clarice of Dry Prong, LA, and Karen Hales Baird and husband, Everett of Monroe; sisters, Catherine Gross of West Monroe and Barbara Ann Reppond of TN; grandchildren, Angie, Jeff, Jamie, Tiffany, Denise, Charles H., Tony, and Charles S.; 18-great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charles Hales, Wesly Hales, Tony LeBeau, Addison Greer, Kevin Banks, and Dennis Ray Shires. Honorary pallbearers were James Hales, Jr., Jeff LeBeau, Drake Price, Toot McManus, Donna Singley, Lucy Hutson, Jene Keene, Babe Free, and Jane Williams.
