Funeral services for Macon Scot Smith, 23, of Pioneer, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jeff Sikes officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home.

On the night of Saturday, June 18, 2022, Macon Scot Smith, loving husband and father of two, passed away suddenly and tragically. Macon was born November 10, 1998 to Margie and Scot Smith. He was raised in Darnell, LA along with his sister, Stephanie Burt. He attended Epps and Forest high schools.

In 2020 Macon was wed to lifelong love, Cathryne Bailey Smith. Together they were raising two children, Zeppelin Lyons and Patience Smith. Macon was a man of many trades and could do any job asked of him. Macon had a passion for classic rock, guitar, and fishing that was only rivaled with the passion for his family. He was known for his ability to make a joke out of every situation and his quick witted remarks. He also would’ve given you the shirt off his back for anyone. He was greatly loved by many and will be sorely missed.

Survivors include his wife, Cathryne Smith of Pioneer, LA; children, Zeppelin Lyons of Dixon, MO, and Patience Smith of Pioneer, LA; mother, Margie Smith of Pioneer, LA; father, Prentiss Smith of Zachary, LA; sister, Stephanie Burt of Denham, Springs, LA; maternal grandmother, Peggy Smith; brother, James Smith of Denham, Springs, LA; mother-in-law and father-in-law; Veronica “Lynne” Bailey and Chris Bailey of Forest, LA; and close friend, Eric Coleman of Goodwill, LA.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
