Louis Wayne "Donnie" Franks Obituary

Funeral services for Louis Wayne “Donnie” Franks, 69, of Rayville, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Bro. Bentley Curry officiating. Interment immediately followed the service at Greer Cemetery, Rayville, LA. 

Donnie was born June 9, 1952 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life December 14, 2021 in West Monroe, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Cullem and Louise Dickens Franks, and his sister, Ethel Smith. 

Donnie was a US Army veteran serving from September 1973 to September 1980, and also served many years in the Louisiana National Guard. After his relief from active duty, Donnie returned home to Richland Parish where he was an avid farmer and employee of Delta Land Farm Supply, Inc, and Richland Farm Supply. Donnie invested himself in a multitude of trades, including his own Richland Sporting Goods and Donnie’s Pawn. Through all of his endeavors, Donnie’s greatest and most rewarding was his family. 

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Connie Villarreal Franks; son, Eddy Wayne Franks and fiancé, Nicole Wyant, grandchildren Bailey and Jimmy Edward Franks, great-granddaughter, Audra Leigh Twiner; son, Scotty Franks and wife, Tiffany, granddaughters, Veronica and Miranda Franks; daughter, Dawn Williams and husband, Braxton III, grandchildren Hunter Antley, Raleigh Blackshear, Braxton IV and Presley Williams; daughter, Morgan Todd; son, Brandon Kervin and fiancé, Alicia Gibson, grandchildren Leilah Gibson, Shealyn Lowe, Jax Kervin, and Taylor Turner; son, Jonathan Kervin; daughter, Jessica Juneau and husband, Michael, grandchildren Vanessa Jordan, Serenity and Liam Juneau; daughter, Amanda Kervin and fiancé, Chris Toland, grandchildren, Camden Grubbs, Annabelle, Cohen, and Corbin Toland; sister, Brenda Duffey and husband Bill; sister, Lynda Stovall and husband, Charles; brother, Arnie Franks; and best friend, Edward Greer. With a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Pallbearers were Jason Stovall, Floyd McCormick, Charles Lee Greer, Jimmy Dale Greer, Tom McPherson, Lynn Spencer, and Jeff Burgess.
