Funeral services for Lois Laverne Walker, 78, of Monroe, LA were held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 24, 2025 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Bro. Mike Jackson officiating. Interment was in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Lois was born November 30, 1946 in Wisner, LA and passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Walker, Jr.; parents, Leon and Irene Evans; and siblings, Faye Hiers and Carolyn Davis.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Wayne Hanks (Nancy) of Anderson, SC; stepson, James “Jim” Walker, III (Patricia); siblings, Helen Netherland and Mary Carrington; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
