Funeral services for Lisa Kay McCandlish Simpkins, 62, of Epps, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Epps Baptist Church, Epps, LA with Bro. Jay Morgan and Bro. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment was in the Epps Cemetery, Epps, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Lisa was born September 16, 1960 in Delhi, LA and passed away Friday, September 7, 2023 in Epps, LA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Wayne and Rose McCandlish; and grandparents, Howard and Decie McCandlish and Chinkie and Mackie Borden.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Thomas “Tommy” Simpkins of Epps, LA; brothers, Kindle McCandlish and wife, Jane of Epps, LA and Glen McCandlish and wife, Suzanne of Epps, La; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charlie and Marilyn Simpkins.

Pallbearers were Patrick Borden, Charlie Simpkins, Danny Fuller, Daniel Fuller, Robbie McBroom, and Zachary Nolan.
