Funeral services for Linnie Layton, 76, of Oak Grove, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 9, 2024, at Kilbourne Worship Center, in Kilbourne, LA with Bro. Keith Stewart and Bro. Bill Bearden officiating. Interment will follow to the Kilbourne Cemetery, In Kilbourne, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.

Ms. Linnie was born on August 5, 1948, in Eudora, AR and passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in Oak Grove, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie Layton; parents, William and Chris Burgess; and siblings, Raymond Burgess and Barbara Burgess Graves.

Survivors include her children, Christy Simpson and husband, Doug of Oak Grove, LA and Kenneth "Marty" Layton and wife, Rachael of Oak Grove, LA; grandchildren, Shelby McAlpin and husband, Jake, Kennedy Simpson and fiancé, Dylan, Britni Simpson, Colt Simpson, Luke Layton, J.T. Layton, and Eli Layton; great grandchildren, Kason McAlpin, Layton McAlpin, Hazley Burson, and Chesni McAlpin; brother, Ronnie Burgess and wife, Vicky; sisters-in-law, Geraldine “Sissy” McNaughton and Diane Burgess; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Clinton Ratley, Ken Owens, Buster Funkhouser, Brandon Haley, Colt Simpson and Brandon Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are the Men of Kilbourne Worship Center.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Church
