Linda Lou (Ridings) Smith

March 27, 1960 – March 3, 2025

Linda, 64-year-old resident of Horn Lake, Mississippi, passed from this life at her home surrounded by family on March 3, 2025, after a brief 3-month battle with cancer.  Linda didn’t win the battle, but she continued to place her faith in the Lord above her fears.

On Friday, March 7, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm visitation will be held at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, in Oak Grove, LA. The service will be held at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2 PM with Rev. Jerry Chapman officiating followed by a burial at Kilbourne Cemetery.

Linda was born in Cameron, West Virginia, to Marshall Glen Ridings and Patsy Lou Thompson Ridings. She grew up in Chickasaw, Louisiana, with 3 sisters and one brother. Linda attended Kilbourne High School and received a degree in medical coding. She was currently employed at Scan Source in South Haven, Mississippi. Linda loved spending time with her family, cooking and was very devoted to her fur baby, JoJo. She lived a life full of love, always putting the needs of those she cared about above her own. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and the warmth of those she held dear. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her partner, Jimmy Lesley, his 3 children: Lisa Lesley, Julie Conley, Chris Lesley and 6 grandchildren; stepchildren Shelley Smith, Barrick Smith, Daniel Smith, and a step granddaughter Chloe Smith who Linda raised as her own child; sisters: Cathy Wright of Woodward, Oklahoma, Cynthia (Cenza) Long of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Glenda Sue Sanderlin of West Monroe, Louisiana, a special sister Kathy O’Neal of Oak Grove, Louisiana, and stepbrother David Nagem (Barbara) of Oak Grove, Louisiana. Linda also had numerous nieces and nephews she loved to spoil.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Russell Ridings, beloved stepmother Evelyn Nagem and JoJo.

Pallbearers are Heath Ridings, Brandon Muey, Chris Lesley, Tim Scott, W.T. Herrod and Will Redd.
