Funeral service for Leroy Emmett Sanders, 81, of Shreveport, LA, formerly of Oak Grove, LA was held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Brown-Holley Chapel in Oak Grove, LA with Bro. Lyle Hern officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove, LA.

Mr. Leroy was born July 10, 1937 in Lake Providence, LA and passed away May 19, 2019 in Shreveport, LA.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Sanders; parents, Hubert and Katie Sanders; brother, Hubert Sanders, Jr.; and half sister, Jewell Chavers.

Survivors include his sons, John David Thiele and wife, Victoria of Greenwood, LA and Roy Allen Sanders of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Daniel Clay, John Wesley Clay, Jessica Longiera, Christopher Sanders and Kristen Sanders; great-grandchildren, Melanie Longiera, Brandon Longiera and Wesley Scott Clay; brother-in-law, Lewis Yahn of Shreveport, LA.

Visitation was from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
