Leo Whitstine

Funeral services for Leo Whitstine, 90, of Rayville, LA were held at 11:00 AM, September 9, 2019 at the Richland United Pentecostal Church, Holly Ridge, LA with Bro. Ricky Long and Bro. Dewayne Whittington officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Cemetery, Holly Ridge, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. Leo was born December 3, 1928 in Fullerton, LA and passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at his resident north of Holly Ridge, LA.

Mr. Leo was a member of the Richland United Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed going fishing, gardening and squirrel hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Maggie Whitstine; son, Gary Whitstine; sisters, Mary Cleo Sullivan, LaFaye Pratt, and Doris Whitstine; and his brother, Alvin Whitstine.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Betty Joe White Whitstine of Rayville; sons, Mark S. Whitstine of Rayville and Danny Whitstine and wife, Laurie of Rayville; 8-grandchildren and14-great grandchildren; sisters, Lillie Mae Ragland and Elizabeth Ann Elam; and his brother, Carl Whitstine.

Pallbearers were Mark N. Whitstine, Jacob Whitstine, Josh Whitstine, Nathan Stanley, Randy Whitstine, and Logan Stewart.

Honorary Pallbearers were Colby Whitstine and Matthew Whitstine.
