Funeral services for Dana Lavelle Tharp, 65, of Rayville, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Archibald First Baptist Church, Archibald, LA with Bro. David Gibson and Bro. Prentis Gandy officiating. Interment was in the Lynn Cemetery, Archibald, LA.

 Mr. Lavelle was born October 18, 1955 in Bastrop, LA and passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in Monroe, LA.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Oran and Betty Jean Tharp; sister, Sherry Jones; brothers, Terry Tharp and B.J. Tharp.

Survivors include his wife 44 years, Jeanie Tharp; children, Duane Tharp and wife, Leann; Tommy Daniel Tharp and wife, Jessica “J.J”; 9-grandchildren, Hope; Maddie; Logan; Carter; Adrien; Cole; Saylor; Charlie; Kyrie; siblings, Bill G. Tharpe and wife, Carolyn; Kathy Carruth and husband, Jerry; Billy Tharp and wife, Sarah; Larry Tharp and wife, Paige; Katie Brown and husband, Jodie; Calvin Tharp and wife, Christine; Louis Tharp and wife, Dawn; Kenny Wayne Tharp and wife, Stacy; Francis Barton and husband, Keith; Melissia Haney and husband, Doug; Ricky Tharp; Otis Lee and husband, Doug Barton; Gloria Jurls; and numerous niece and nephews.

Pallbearers were Carter Tharp, Adrien Tharp, Maddie Tharp, Cole Tharp, Keith Mizell, Zach Jones, and Caleb Williamson.

Honorary Pallbearers were Colt Wisenor and Harley Bolton.

Visitation was 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Friday, March 12, 2021 at Archibald First Baptist Church, Archibald, LA.
