Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lavelle and Ann Best; and son, Jeremy Hewitt.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Rene` Best of Rayville, LA; daughter Toney Bragg of Rayville, LA; grandchildren, Aliana Hobbs of Bastrop, LA and Jamauri Dorsey of Rayville, LA; sister, Nan Carr of Rayville, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
