Funeral services for Kenneth Lamar Parks, 89, of Oak Grove, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Macedonia Baptist Church, in Kilbourne, LA with Bro. John Cox officiating. Interment will follow to Macedonia Cemetery, in Kilbourne, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.

Mr. Kenneth was born on November 1, 1935, in Rover, AR and passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Oak Grove, LA. He was the oldest member of the VFW post 3977. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Parks; son, David Kenneth Parks; parents, Lamar and Lois Parks; and sister, Patsy Reed.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Harris and husband, Jordan of Tallulah, LA; son, Richard “Shane” Parks and wife, Lisa of Oak Grove, LA; 4-grandchildren; 5-great grandchildren; and best friend, Bill Cooper of Oak Grove, LA.

Pallbearers are Glen Kennedy, Bill Cooper, Harold Lee Cupit, Phil White, Joey Payne, Jimmy Cook and Jimmy Street.   

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the church.
