Kathern Earline (Walker) Wallace

Funeral services for Kathern Earline Wallace, 85, of Epps, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Br. Stephen Rainwater  officiating. Interment was in the Epps Cemetery, Epps, LA.

Kathern was born October 17, 1939 in Delhi, LA and passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in Delhi, LA.

Kathern was the secretary and co-owner Wallace Garage of Bastrop and co-owner of Wallace Transportation. She was also the secretary of West Carroll Health Systems. She loved working in the yard especially burning things, taking care of anybody that needed help and taking care of her puppies and bossing people. Kathern was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wallace; daughter, Elizabeth Jones; son, Rickie Sanders; parents, Mamie and Frank Walker; sisters, Mable Noble, Dorothy Taylor, Gladys Lingefelt, Lavada Baum, Eunice Wilson, LaFay McCarver; and brothers, Barney Walker and Herman McCarver.

Survivors include her children, Susan Weems of Holly Ridge, LA, Donald Wallace and wife, Robin of Bastrop, LA; 5-grandchildren, Bryan Jones, Teresa Jones and husband, Dylan, Rikki Jones, Ty Jones, Olivia Jones, Benji Wallace, and Emily Snipes; 5-great grandchildren, Madison Smith and husband, Josh, Mac York, Eli Jones, Evan Jones, and Katherine Jones; 5-great-great grandchildren, Hudson Jones, Baby Boy Smith on the way, Cayden Smith, Carson Smith, and Camden Smith; sister, Shirley Mercer and husband, Buck; sister-in-law, Diana Walker; and multiple nieces and nephews that were very special to her.

The family would like to thank Deerfield Nursing Home, Delhi Hospital and Crossroads Hospice for loving and caring for our loved one.  A very special thank you to her niece Monica Odom for her unconditional love, care, and devotion.

Pallbearers were Bryan Jones, Ty Jones, Eli Jones, Evan Jones, Josh Smith, and Mac York.

Honorary Pallbearers were Cole Gray, Cole Ezell, Jeff Guice, Brad Lingefelt, Todd Lingefelt, and Connie McCarver.
