Funeral Services for Joy Hodge, 67, of Rayville, LA were held at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Start Baptist Church, Start, LA with Bro. Jeff Thomas officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Joy was born September 9, 1954 in Rayville, LA and passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her home in Start, LA surrounded by her husband and children. Joy was a member of the Start Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gussie Mitchell, Sr. and Lucille Mitchell; brother, Gussie “Butch” Mitchell, Jr.; and her sister, Judy Copeland.

Survivors include her husband, Diddle Hodge of Start; children, Kerry Hodge of Rayville, Kristi Hodge and fiancé, Tracy Gandy of Start, and Kevin Hodge and wife, Lisa of Start; fur baby, Kizzie Hodge; grandchildren, Kelsey, Cooper, Tyler, Kaitlynn, Kody, Leslie Ann, Karston, Samone, Kaine, Kaleb, Kylie, Shelby, and Kolton; great grandchildren, Carlee, Charlee, Tucker, Raleigh, Whitley, and Landry; host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Robyne Crow, Connie Blaylock, and Debbie Parks.

Joy’s wishes were that no one wears black clothing to her funeral, please wear bright colored clothing.
