Funeral services for Josephine Goforth Harris Jones, 84, of Monroe, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 2, 2021 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Rayville, LA with Bro. Richard Robinson officiating. Interment followed in the Harris Cemetery, Crowville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Josephine was born August 1, 1937 in Newton, MS and passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Monroe, LA.

Josephine had no children of her own, but helped raised David Joe and Maryanna Branch, they were her pride and joy the last years of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.R. and Fannie Goforth; sisters, Ivonne Pee, Frances Darnell, Ruby Hobgood, Ola Mae Bishop, and Bonnie Brown; brothers, George Goforth and Sheldon “Hank” Goforth; first husband, Glen dale Harris; second husband, Roy O’dell Jones.

Survivors include her sisters, Retha Campos and husband, Herman of Carrollton, TX and Christina Word and husband, Jerry of Start; brother, John Goforth and wife, Ruth of West Monroe; 23-nephews, nieces, and several great nephews and nieces.
