Funeral services for Jimmy C. Lowery, Sr., 87, of Mangham, LA were held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church, Mangham, LA with Bro. Jeremy Butler officiating. Interment was in Duncan Cemetery, Mangham, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Mr. Jimmy was born May 10, 1937 in Mangham, LA and passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 in West Monroe, LA.
Jimmy was a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Mangham, LA. He was a past Master of W.M. Baker Lodge #388 in Mangham, LA and was a Masonic member for 50 years. He was preceded by his parents, Ruth and James Lowery; and siblings, Dorothy Fife, Marvin Lowery, Glenn Lowery, Bobby Lowery, Billy Ray Lowery, Royce Lowery, Bilbo Lowery, and Maurice Lowery.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Kathryn Lowery of Mangham, LA; children, Connie Gaye Chriceol of El Dorado, AR, Jim C. Lowery, Jr. of Alexandria, LA, Karen LeAnn Riser and husband, Danny of Crowville, LA, and Carol Lynn Chapman and husband, Steve of Crowville, LA; grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Gibson, Ashley Dawn Fife and husband, Danny, Brett Michael Lowery and wife, Shannon, Wesley Scott Lowery and wife, Amber, Heather LaShay Nobles, Robert Heath Nobles, Brittany Sierra Mackens and husband, Greg, Jared Scott Chapman and wife, Candice, Kami Danielle Stone and husband, Adam, and Stevie Carol Scott and husband, Joseph; 22-great grandchildren and 8-great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Keith Lowery, Brian Lowery, Craig Lowery, Ricky Fife, Tim Fife, Hunter Fife, and Terry Lowery.
Honorary pallbearers were Randal Lowery, Skipper Lowery, Henry Dale Lowery, and Jerry Lowery.
