Jerry Lee Duckworth, born on August 5, 1956, passed away on May 23, 2026 surrounded by the love of family and leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
Jerry was the kind of man who never met a stranger. He had a gift for making friends everywhere he went and had a way of making people feel welcome from the moment they met him. His kindness, conversation, and genuine nature made lasting impressions on countless people.
He was known as one of the hardest-working people anyone could know. Jerry believed in putting in an honest day’s work and never hesitated to help someone in need. He took pride in caring for his family and in the life he built through dedication and determination.
Some of Jerry’s greatest joys were found in the simple things he loved most. He enjoyed spending time tending to his garden and caring for his chickens. He appreciated watching things grow and found peace in working with his hands and being outdoors.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Christine Duckworth and Cooter “Doyle” Duckworth; and his brother in law, Danny Parker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eyvon Duckworth; his son, David Duckworth and wife Melissa; and his daughter, Christina Ross and husband Trey.
Jerry is survived by brother Mike Duckworth and wife Dean; sister Donna Parker; brother Mark Duckworth and wife Belinda; and Sister in law Deborah Duckworth. Numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Rheagan Moore and husband Logan, Breanna Buffington and husband Tyler, Hope Ross, Karson Duckworth, Michael Ann Ross, and Konnor Duckworth.
Jerry was blessed with great-grandchildren, Tucker Moore and Bradie Buffington.
He is also survived by special nephews, Tyler Duckworth and wife Madylin, and Cameron Duckworth and wife Skyler; along with special great-nieces and nephews, Kolton Duckworth, Paxton Duckworth, and Serenity Jane Duckworth.
Jerry leaves behind more than memories — he leaves behind an example of hard work, friendship, love of family, and a life lived with purpose. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
