Survivors include his mother, Barbara Dear Lord; stepfather, Mel Lord; son, Ethan Scott Caples; half-sisters, Mickey Adams and Rachel Adcox; half-brother, Timmy Stovall; granddaughter, Hadley Lynn Caples; aunts and uncles, Earl and Jean Dear, Glenn and Katie Dear, Benny and Martha Garrison, and Violet Stovall; and numerous cousins.
