Funeral services for Jeremiah “Heath” Cardin were held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Archibald, LA with Bro. Eddie Martin officiating. Interment was in the Lynn Cemetery, Archibald, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Jeremiah “Heath” Cardin, 48, of Kerrville, Texas passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, in Kerrville. He was born in Monroe, Louisiana to Sandra Cardin on June 17, 1976.
Heath graduated from Mangham High School in Mangham, Louisiana, and went on to attend and play football at Northwestern State University. To Know Heath … was to know his smile and his hugs.
In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, teasing his sister and brother, football, track, time with friends and family. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Archibald, LA.
After college, Heath moved around in Texas spending a lot of time with his cousins. He Loved hard, worked hard and played even harder. Heath was the life of every get together, making each and everyone he encountered smile and possibly even save you a trip to the chiropractor with his hug.
Heath finally settled in Kerrville, TX over 20 years ago. Made quite a few friends who he considered family.
Heath was preceded in death by grandparents, Viola D. Cardin and JW Cardin; mother, Sandra E. Cardin; and several aunts and uncles; cousins, Newton Martin, Brandon Rushing, and Nicholas Cardin.
Survivors include sister, Krissy Cardin Williams (Eric) of Louisiana; brother, James Harly Huestis of Louisiana; niece, Armani Marshall; nephew, Brendan Jase Huestis; great nephew, Nyjah Mark-Andrew Marshall; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers were Brett Cardin, Kevin Cardin, Billy Cardin, Harly Huestis, Tim Cardin, and Joe Mac Williamson.
Honorary pallbearers were Dan Cardin, Steve Cardin, Brendan Jase Huestis, Dan Cortez, Steven Small, Greg Emfinger, and Marshall Wayne Poindexter.
