Jeanie Michelle Johnson

Graveside services for Jeanie Michelle Johnson, 47, of Rayville, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Love Cemetery, Rayville, LA with Bro. Rick Aultman officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Johnson was born July 24, 1974 in Natchitoches, LA and passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 in West Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her daddy, Frank Burton; maternal grandparents, Gene Clardy and Sophie Clardy; and paternal grandparents, Johnny and Lola Horn.

Mrs. Jeanie was the modern-day version of the Biblical woman whose value was "...far more than rubies". She loved and nurtured her family faithfully. Her serene nature made her home a welcoming one.  She enjoyed boating and camping with Trey, Kayli and Rylan and many, many friends. Jeanie was an avid NASCAR fan.  Pets had a very special place in her heart. Over the years, pets included cats, dogs, hamsters, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits and turtles.  

Jeanie was a woman of Vision. In 2015, while working at Chase, at age 41, Jeanie enrolled in ULM to complete her long-delayed bachelor's degree. In the Spring of 2017, she graduated. In 2018, she left Chase and became a senior budget specialist at ULM. While working full time at ULM, she pursued her master's degree. In December of 2021, Jeanie proudly accepted her Master's of Business Administration. She obviously valued education and served as a role model for the "non-traditional" student.

Survivors include her husband, Trey Johnson; children, Kayli Clardy and fiancé, Scott Leo and Rylan Johnson; siblings, Holli Burton, Jeff Horn, and Kim Horn and husband, Rakesh Narinesingh; dad, Mike Horn and wife, Ann; mother, Nancy Burton; and her numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
