Janie Caston

Graveside service for Janie Caston, 93, of Oak Grove, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Providence Memorial Cemetery, in Lake Providence, LA  with Father Kelby Tingle officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.

Ms. Janie was born on January 27, 1932, in Hondo, TX, and passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Oak Grove, LA. She lived in Lake Providence for 65 years and then moved to Oak Grove, LA for the rest of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, in Oak Grove, LA.

Ms. Janie is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow T. Caston, Sr.; sons, Jimmy Ray Caston, Brian Douglas Caston, and Woodrow T. Caston, II; parents, Juan and Gregoria Ybarra; brothers, Paul A. Ybarra, Joe A. Ybarra, Thomas A. Ybarra, Jesus A. Ybarra; sisters, Jose A. Ybarra, Trinidad Ybarra, Mary Montoya, Linda A. Espinoza, and Maria A. Ybarra.

Survivors include her children, Gloria Sanders (Stanley) of Delhi, LA, Floria Addison (Jerry) of Leland, MS, John E. Caston (Tonja) of Oak Grove, LA, Peggy L. Caston, of Oak Grove, LA, Rickey N. Caston of West Monroe, LA, Paul W. Caston of Oak Grove, LA; 12-grandchildren; 19-great grandchildren; 4-great-great grandchildren; sisters, Jessica Holden of San Antonio, TX and Maria H. Esparza of San Antonio, TX; she had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
