James Lamar "Jim" Dozier

Graveside services for James Lamar “Jim” Dozier, 58, of Monroe, LA were held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at Hewitt Cemetery, Mangham, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. His brother, Gary Dozier is officiating.

Jim was born August 15, 1962 in Monroe, LA and passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Monroe, LA after a prolonged illness.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, James Carroll Dozier; paternal grandparents, James Elmer and Anna Pearl Dozier; and his maternal grandparents, Hudson Lamar and Vennie B. Vance.

Survivors include his daughters, Anna Lee and Allison Carol Dozier; mother Tommie Dozier; brothers, Don Dozier (Kim), Gary Dozier (Paige), and Mike Dozier (Abby); mother of his children, Sonya Dozier; nephews, Caleb Dozier (Vanessa) and Derek Dozier; nieces, Elyse Albritton (Luke), Makayla Weaver (Tony), Grace Dozier, Lydia Dozier, and Olivia Dozier; and numerous cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Dewey Street, Bruce Salsbury, Phillip Rugg, Luke Albritton, Derek Dozier, Joshua Cowart, Caleb Dozier, and Buddy Smith.

Hewitt Cemetery is located just south of Calvary Baptist Church, 3717 Hwy 576, Mangham, LA.
