Memorial services for James Allen Hales will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Winnsboro, LA with Bro. Craig Sanderfer officiating.
In the words of his loving wife, Ruth, “The sun had to be shining bright the day Jim (James Allen Hales) entered the world on December 18, 1944 in Dunn, Louisiana. The birds stopped chirping and time stood still, even if for just a moment, when he died November 19, 2022 in Winnsboro, Louisiana.
James began his life of service when he joined the Army. When he returned, he had many of life’s big questions answered as he began to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. His greatest life of service began when he dedicated his life to Jehovah on July 18, 1970. He continued to serve his Creator for the next 52 years, up until his death.
James was preceded in death by his parents, X.V. and Margarette Hales; first wife, Candace G. Hales; and sister, Joyce Spillers and her husband, Charles D. Spillers and sister, Betty Hales.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth P. Hales; sons, Jamie Hales and Kenan P. Edwards; siblings, L.C. Hales and wife, Clarice and Karen Baird and husband, Everett; granddaughter, Samantha Hales; special family members, Sharon and Johnny Eubanks; the entire Prieto family; his entire spiritual family members; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
