J.C. Whittington

Graveside service for J.C. Whittington, age 92, of Oak Grove, LA was held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Forest, LA with Rev. William Moden officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove, LA.

Mr. J.C. was born on April 29, 1927 in Banks, AR, and passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, in Oak Grove, LA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Collins Whittington; granddaughter, Melanie Rogers; mother, Lena Colyer and sisters, Erma Hammett and Bertie McCallie.

Survivors include his daughter, Joyce O'Neal of Oak Grove, LA; granddaughter, Mandy Ferrell and husband, Wesley of Jones, LA; step great grandson, Landon Ferrell of Salado, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers were Ron McCallie, Terry Nichols, Ronald Nichols, Benny Gilliam, Mark Gilliam, Kenny Gilliam, and Jimmy Gilliam.

Honorary pallbearers were Larry Denmon, Hatten Tuggle,and Homer Johnson.

Visitation is 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Oak Grove, LA.
