Funeral services for Huey P. Posey, 88, of Lake Providence, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Oak Grove, LA. with Bro. Vernon Groce officiating. Interment followed in the Forest Corner Cemetery, Forest, LA.

Mr. Huey was born July 18, 1932 in Eudora, AR and passed away July 18, 2020 in Lake Providence, LA.

Mr. Huey is preceded in death by his wife, Pearley Mae Jones Posey; daughter, Kay Parks; parents, Wallace Rachel Posey; brothers, Elmer H. Posey, Buford I. Posey, and Hollis Posey; and his sisters, Callie Mae Hawthorne and Thelmer Wright.

Survivors include his children, Rachel Smith, Huey Purvis “Pete” Posey, and Dale Wayne Posey; special children, Tommy Price, Darlene Kaufman, and Amanda Wolf;  grandchildren, Casey Frith, Jamie Posey, Anita Duvall, Paden Wayne Posey, Shelby Lynn Posey, and Michelle Green; 9-great grandchildren; sister, Mattie Faye Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jeff Posey, Lee Posey, Cliff Posey, Paden Posey, Harvey Elliot, and Chris Robinson.
