Funeral services for Glenda Faye Rawls, 80, of Rayville, LA were held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Bastrop United Pentecostal Church, Bastrop, LA with Rev. Alan “Bubba” Eaves and Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment was in the McKnight Cemetery, Holly Ridge, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.

Mrs. Glenda was born October 30, 1943 in East Baton Rouge, LA and passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 in Delhi, LA.

Mrs. Glenda was a member of Bastrop United Pentecostal Church in Bastrop, LA. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammie Rawls Christman; parents, Virgil and Jimmie Thornton; granddaughter, Caroline Christman; brother, Virgil Thornton, Jr.; and sister, Patricia Magaha.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Joel Rawls of Rayville, LA; sons, Ronald Rawls and wife, Angie of Epps, LA, Heath Rawls and wife, Melanie of Bastrop, LA, and Jody Rawls of Rayville, LA; grandchildren, Neal Rawls and wife, Miranda, Ryan Rawls and wife, Heather, Chad Rawls and wife, Emily, Tyler Rawls and wife, Kelsey, Victor Rawls and wife, Paris, Allison Hargrave and husband, Thomas, Gracie Rawls, and Mason Rawls; great grandchildren, Kyler, Bella, Blakley, Jace, Bexlee, Nora, and Huntlee; sisters, Brenda Whittington and husband, Dwayne and Elizabeth Fondren and husband, William; brother-in-law, Robert Magaha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephew, Neal Rawls, Tyler Rawls, Ryan Rawls, Chad Rawls, Victor Rawls, Mason Rawls, and Garan Whittington.
