Graveside services for George W. Sims, 87, of Oakville, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Forest Cemetery, in Forest, LA with Bro. Rod Russell officiating under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, in Oak Grove, LA.

George was born on July 15, 1938, in Oak Grove, LA and passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Oakville, LA. He is preceded in death by his partner in life for over 20 years, Connie Schoreck; children, Michael Sims, Sandra Sims, Beverly Sims Davis, Kenneth Sims; parents, Leslie and Beatrice Sims; and brother, Larry Sims.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Melinda Wade, Melissa Wade, Brandon Wade, George Sims, Charlie Sims; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Morgan (Terry), Donald Sims (Barbara), Douglas Sims (Arnetta), Debbie Calhoun (Richard); and numerous nieces and nephews.
